Whois Hunter
Quick How-To for whois
- It can take a few minutes to process the request; be patient.
- If the full IP Address doesn't provide any results, break it down
into the larger domain reference. (i.e. if it's numeric, of the form
123.456.789.098, try 123.456.789 and 123.456; it
it's an actual domain name, hereiam.anyone.nobody.com, try
anyone.nobody.com, and nobody.com)
- You can check several IP addresses at once by seperating them
with spaces: 123.456.789.098 hereiam.anyone.nobody.com.
Or break up a single IP into it's fragments: 123.456 123.456.789
123.456.789.098
Note: It will take longer than checking a single IP.
- Sometimes you won't get anything; such is life.
If you don't get results for any of the variations you try,
instead of entering just the IP address, try entering the IP
address followed by @whois.server.net, where whois.server.net
is one of the following:
- American Registry for Internet Numbers whois server - whois.arin.net
- European IP Address Allocations whois server - whois.ripe.net
- Asia Pacific IP Address Allocations whois server - whois.apnic.net
- US Military whois server - whois.nic.mil
Examples: 123.456.789.0@whois.server.net 123.456.789@whois.server.net
123.456@whois.server.net 123@whois.server.net
